We have recently completed work at another Safestore, this time in Sheffield! Located on Russell Street on Kelham Island with easy access from the A61, Safestore Sheffield’s 67,000sqft site became the storage giant’s 125th site in the UK. Our team successfully did everything from first fix to completion of the full electrical, CCTV, access and fire alarm packages on schedule and to Safestore’s extremely high standard. The Barlows team and everyone overcame delays due to COVID-19 and were able to complete and open the store safely mid June.
The project began with the removal of existing M&E before we began the installation phase of the project. The store features Safestore’s specifically designed LED lighting in the corridors, thanks to intelligent microwave switch occupancy sensors, illuminate in sequence as staff and customers travel the length of the corridor. Each luminaire has the capability to have timers and dimming levels altered, they can be tailored for each customers requirement. They can also be turned off and on by store staff by hand-held remote controls.
Our fire and security team installed the full fire alarm system and PA system. The entire system was commissioned and certified by Gent 24 Integrator and also has BAFE accreditations. We installed the 55’’ Panasonic LED flat screen CCTV monitor alongside Hik-vision CCTV equipment. Safestore required the state of the art security package with HD CCTV cameras so you can rest assured your storage facility is 100% safe and secure.
