Our Family Fun Day in Memory of Jacob 'Jay' Holden, turned out to be a remarkable success, raising an incredible £5,000 for our chosen charities; Alder Hey Childrens Charity & Nightingale House Hospice. It was a day of laughter, bonding, and giving back, and we couldn't be more proud of the community that rallied around this meaningful cause.
From Brass Band to DJ Beats
The day began with the delightful tunes of Whitchurch Brass Band, setting the perfect backdrop as the crowds began to assemble and the excitement grew. The live music continued with Mary and The Mudlarks, who treated the audience to their unique blend of Waltz, tango, musette, and klezmer-inspired covers of popular songs, adding a touch of artistic flair to the event. As the day progressed, the festivities culminated with TecsDecs DJ taking the stage, curating a diverse selection of music attendees congregated in the largest beer garden in Cheshire at Malpas Sports Club! The mix of live performances and vibrant tunes created a memorable day for everyone.
Food & Fun!
With the help of so many local businesses and the community the day was perfect for both the young and the young at heart, offering so many activities that brought smiles to everyone's faces. Pizza Peddlers and Tommy Lloyds BBQ ensured everyone was well fed to enjoy the events activities. The Event Station provided so many inflatables like the Total Wipeout challenge and bouncy castles that turned Malpas Sports Club into a playground of excitement. Children and adults alike bounced, slid, and conquered the many different obstacles, creating lasting memories of a day well-spent.
Kicking It Off: Cheshire vs Manchester Football Showdown!
The charity football match between Barlows Malpas Office and Barlows Manchester Office drew a large crowd of supporters who gathered to cheer on the teams. It was a heartening sight to witness the two offices coming together for this event. In the end, Malpas Office secured the victory (8-1) and won the rematch taking the trophy home to Head Office. A special thanks goes out to all the players, including those who traveled from Manchester, as well as everyone who came to watch and support the game!
